This campaign reflects my core principles and is built around helping the everyday Americans who share our hope for a better tomorrow. Some of my core principals that drive me are simple but seem especially poignant in these times:

• Create economic opportunities that help working people, not a well-connected elite

• Protect our most vulnerable population — including our seniors, veterans, and children — through funding programs in Orange County that are being slashed at the federal level

• Implement stronger environmental protections so that the air and water we consume can help us thrive, and we can safeguard our farms and communities from increasing extreme weather

• Attract innovative businesses that enable local employees to be able to afford to live locally

• Create a responsive, agile local government that can respond quickly to changing needs

• Invest in transportation and infrastructure projects as economic drivers
