We are so excited to announce that a privately owned veterinary clinic is coming to Main St. Florida, NY! The former sleep center is getting renovated into a wonderful new spot to bring dogs and cats for preventative care as well as both sick and surgical appointments. We hope to also provide weekly at home care.
Since our website and phone number are also under construction let me introduce the new veterinarian and owner.
Dr. Amanda Kiselak graduated from Minisink Valley Schools in 2008, followed by Clemson University in 2012 with a B.S in Animal Science, and finally the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Once out of school, she worked in southern NJ at large multi-doctor practice practicing small animal and urgent care medicine for 2 years followed by a year in Texas while her husband was stationed at Fort Cavazos. While in Texas, she worked as a general practitioner and an overnight ER doctor. In 2019 she moved back closer to home in NY following the family getting relocated to West Point. Dr. Kiselak began working at the Youngsville Veterinary Clinic in Youngsville, NY where she worked alongside her father-in-law for the last 5 years. Together with her husband Adam, Amanda has 2 children, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a small flock of chickens. She cannot wait to open this family oriented veterinary practice and bring back the "home" to hometown veterinary care.
