With the assistance of Seward teachers, Ms. Allen and Duquet, Carlise Azmitia (Hudson Valley Atelier) are gathering art students to paint the Village. She will be organizing businesses and the teachers will be organizing students. She made a poster to gather business participation. Her hopes are that they can make the Village the talk (and walk) of the town with painted window displays. Excited to highlight talented art students and businesses throughout the Village! This will be so much fun!!
Question: How much does it cost?
-This is a free event. My studio is donating paint and supplies to the art students. If you’d like to contribute we will lovingly accept any help.
Question: Can a door instead of a window be considered?
-Yes, definitely! However, it will get a lot of handling so paint might not last as long as if it were on a stagnant window.
Question: Are the students going to come back and wash the windows after the event.
-I will certainly arrange window washing for all those who participate. Please let me know though…I know some of us are particular at how their windows get washed so if this is you, you might consider not letting students wash the windows afterward.
Question: Can a painting be just one color like white?
-Yes, that will be something you discuss with your artist along with the design.
Question: I need more info.
-So once everyone rsvps by the deadline each business will be assigned an artist. That artist will talk to the business owner/manager and will work on sketched designs to present. Once a final design gets an okay then we will gather supplies each artist needs and arrange a date/time to paint.
